Ridgewood Lakes Golf and Country Club
opened in 1994 to fantastic reviews,
and has received much praise from locals
and tourists alike over the past ten
years. When built, the course received
top billing from Golf Digest, who ranked
it as “Americas Best New Course.” Due
to the recent golf boom, Central Florida
has seen many courses arrive over the
last decade; however, Ridgewood Lakes
still stands among the finest the Orlando
area has to offer.
This track is “classic Florida” in
its design. Featuring water and natural
wetlands that come into play on 16 of
the 18 holes, Ridgewood Lakes will come
as a test for golfers of all skill levels.
The back tees measure just over 7,000
yards, requiring strong play from the
tee-boxes and better-than-average length
to avoid the water hazards that are prevalent
on this course. Players are faced with
this challenge mostly on the first five
holes, where three of the toughest holes
on the course come into play. That being
said, Ridgewood Lakes also offers four
sets of tees so players of all abilities
can enjoy the fantastic design, scenery,
and quality of golf provided by this
facility.
With rates under $100 year-round, we
consider Ridgewood Lakes to be a very
good value for those desiring a top-notch
round of golf without having to break
the bank.
