MetroWest Golf Club opened in 1987 to outstanding
reviews, and has easily lived up to the hype. This
Robert Trent Jones, Sr. signature design is one
of Orlando’s finest, and features spring-fed
lakes and mature native trees that border this
fantastic golf course. The amenities are among
the best in Orlando at this fine facility (such
as valet parking, swimming pools, tennis courts,
and fine dining), but for those who simply come
for the golf, Metrowest Golf Club will leave a
lasting impression (which is made apparent by the
awards listed below):

This long course is slightly forgiving from the
tee boxes, but that’s about the only reprieve
you are given on this challenging track. The fairways
are fairly wide, but they are bordered by a thick
cut of rough, and end with medium-sized greens
that are lightning fast. Water hazards (canals,
streams and lakes) come into play on five holes,
forcing accuracy from players to avoid the many
hazards. The signature hole is #4, a 610-yard,
par 5, requiring an approach shot to an elevated
green surrounded by strategically placed bunkers.
This hole has been designed to play around a body
of water, and when you tee it up at on this hole
you will understand what we mean.

Most players of all skill levels will benefit
from the expansive, rolling fairways; however,
the undulations featured on the greens and the
strategically placed bunkering will challenge even
better players throughout the round. A premium
is placed on accuracy with the long irons and short
game, and putting well is an absolute must for
one to take advantage and score low.
MetroWest Golf Club is just simply fantastic
from the parking lot to the 19th hole. This one
should make your “must play” list on
your next golf trip to Orlando…we are certain
it will not disappoint.
