Falcon’s Fire is a Rees Jones Signature course that is
recognized as one of Orlando’s top golf courses- if not
the very best in its class. This 18 hole, par-72 course is classic
in design and provides players with immaculate, tournament playing
conditions all year long. Falcon’s Fire boasts a long list
of credentials that set it apart from the pack:

Golfers who have not played the course will immediately be impressed
upon entering the facility. Of the services offered, we were
most impressed with the valet parking option and friendliness
of the staff. The course is top-notch and it shows upon first
impression, as each person is treated as if he is a member of
the club. It is easy for one to see why Falcon’s Fire received
the 1999 Apex award as one of North America’s Top 10 Golf
Tournament Facilities.
From the player’s standpoint, Falcon’s Fire features
a forgiving front nine with water on only a few holes- rare for
a Florida course- however you pay for it on the back nine. The
terrain is relatively flat, but there are many mounds that affect
your lie regardless of how well the ball is placed in the fairway;
and the quick greens are well protected by thick rough and strategically
placed bunkering. As mentioned earlier, the back nine is considered
more difficult, featuring holes 12 – 18 that wrap around
two large lakes; challenging the most skilled player and punishing
the errant shot makers. Consistency is the word here, and one
must be focused throughout the entire round in order to keep
the score low.
The course is simply a masterpiece located in the heart of Orlando.
It is tops on our “must play” list, and your golf
vacation to central Florida would not be complete if you did
not enjoy a round at this magnificent facility.
