Eagle Creek is the debutante among premium Orlando golf courses,
opening in March of 2004. The staff took care to wait on opening
until the course was well developed, and it has paid off as Eagle
Creek is in great playing condition. The design is a collaboration
of American Ron Garl and British design company Swan Golf Designs,
Ltd, and as Eagle Creek says, the result is an American golf course
with a British flair. It is an apt description; at Eagle Creek
you will find long, traditional rolling fairways with wide waste
areas and 6-8 foot pot bunkers around the green. Plenty of water
comes into play and creates the occasional island green to offer
a mental challenge.
Eagle Creek is a par-73 thanks to a last minute re-design of the
18th hole. The course moved the 18th green from in front of a creek
to behind to create a beautiful par-5 that will tempt the long
hitter to go for eagle. The clubhouse facility offers a great view
of this hole as well as extremely nice amenities: locker rooms
with showers, banquet rooms, and a full restaurant. We think Eagle
Creek is a great location for corporate outings that want to host
a group reception after their round.
Due to it’s location near the airport, we often recommend
Eagle Creek as a first or last day option. In fact, we would recommend
it for any day of play as the unique styling and variation of challenges
will make for a fantastic round.
